Help Save Lives During National Safety Month
Throughout June 2008, National Safety Month activities will address the most significant reasons for unintentional injuries and deaths in the American workplace, on the road and in the home and community. The NSC strives to offer tools and materials that can help make a difference in both on and off the job safety. Lumonall and American Scientific Resources aim to help in this endeavor.

On March 1, 2003, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) became part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The primary mission of the Federal Emergency Management Agency is to reduce the loss of life and property and protect the Nation from all hazards, including natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other man-made disasters, by leading and supporting the Nation in a risk-based, comprehensive emergency management system of preparedness, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation.

The Canada Safety Council is a national, non-government, charitable organization dedicated to safety. Their mission is to lead in the national effort to reduce preventable deaths, injuries and economic loss in public and private places throughout Canada. The Council serves as a credible, reliable resource for safety information, education and awareness in all aspects of Canadian life - in traffic, at home, at work and at leisure.
Focusing on safety education as the key to long range reduction in avoidable deaths and injuries, the Council serves as a national resource for safety programs, working with and through partner organizations who deliver and/or fund these programs.
